Version 2 firmware for HypoxyLab: big upgrades

Our software team are proud to announce the release of version 2 firmware for our highly rated HypoxyLab™ workstation.

The HypoxyLab is a bench-top sized workstation for cell culture under controlled, physiological oxygen conditions. By using the partial pressure of oxygen to regulate its environment, it achieves the highest levels of accuracy and reproducibility possible, serving scientists in cell-based research fields including cancer research, neurobiology, stem cell research, and virology.

The new firmware release will ship on all new-build systems commencing May 2025, and will be offered as a free upgrade to existing generation 3 HypoxyLab™ users.

Features and enhancements being introduced include,

• New oxygen profiling feature: 
  - Programme the HypoxyLab to automatically follow a predetermined oxygen profile
  - Loop from 1 – 100 times, or indefinitely
  - Up to 250 user defined profiles can be stored 
  - CO₂, humidity, and temperature profiling also supported
• Extended oxygen control range (now 1 – 175 mmHg / 23% oxygen)
• Extended CO₂ control range (now 0 – 18% CO₂)
• Optimized system recovery times when operating the easy-entry hatch
• Extended system information page, now includes time to next recommended service
• Miscellaneous bug fixes and reliability / useability enhancements
